World No.12 Tesni Evans beat the World No 5 Joelle King 3:2 to reach the last 16 of the FS Investments U.S. Open Squash Championships at Philadelphia’s Drexel University. The Welsh No.1 was drawn against Sarah-Jane Perry in the quarter-finals. Tesni had lost to Perry in their six previous meetings on the PSA Tour including the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games singles event on the Gold Coast earlier this year.
Yesterday (11 October) Tesni put in a magnificent performance as she fought back from a 2-1 deficit to defeat the World No.8. She will be the first Welsh player since coach David Evans in 2000 to reach the last four of a major PSA Tour event and will play the current World Champion later today.

We'll all be cheering for you Tesni!
